There are a couple glass places on the island, so we had to check those out. We ran into a couple of the artists working there who were wearing Namseoul Tshirts from the latest summer workshop. Students from our school helped make some of the glass for the "Castle" like this field of yellow flowers. We made it through the glass maze, saw some great exhibits of work by famous Italian sculptors, turned a corner and ended up watching a video on display that Brian was actually in! How cool is that?! He was working at the Corning Museum of Glass at the time and assisted Pino Signoretto in making an amazing piece. You can check out a very shortened youtube version here. Eventually you'll see Brian poke his head in at the right :) A lot of the shots are up close so you don't get to see Brian a ton, but he's there bringing parts, like the long ribbon of glass that wraps around Christ's body. Amazing that he has been able to work with such talented people.

Jeju
We just spent 3 days in Jeju-do, the tropical getaway island in Korea! There was a beach, with surf boards to rent, sand and people selling pineapple slices on chopsticks. It was wonderful! Warm, blue water, lush greenery, and volcanic stone walls lining every property. It rained a little, but it was this wonderful, warm rain that felt like heaven and only lasted a short while - like Hawaiian rain. We were hiking to a waterfall and this big crab started scuttling along next to us. He was a good 5 inches across. Not sure what he was doing up in the mountains, but you should have seen us jump when he popped out!
