All Encompassing Thank You Juice

Pocari Sweat - it looks like an ordinary can of pop. How any drink could rise to fame with the word 'sweat' in it, I don't know. Or with someone's name before the word 'sweat' to boot.  It tastes something like a tame Fresca. The thing is, Pocari Sweat is more than just a refreshing drink here in Korea. It's risen to the status of a fruit basket or bottle of wine, or even a gold medal. Are you parched? Here, have a Pocari Sweat! You've done a great job? A Pocari Sweat for you! Painted the Sistine Chapel for weeks on end with no assistance? Please, accept this Pocari Sweat as a token of gratitude. Every now and then I find myself with a Pocari Sweat in hand and wonder, 'How did I deserve this?' Unfortunately I don't really like the taste, but that's not the point. Just say thank you and hold onto it like fruit cake to pass on to the next deserving person who passes your way, who will in no doubt receive it with great honor.
