So many kinds of beautiful

What an amazing week of beauty! We all traveled to Melbourne to see and celebrate the opening of the exhibition Brian has been putting so much effort and care towards. The work is displayed at Lesley Kehoe Gallery, a beautiful simplistic space that complimented the works of the artists perfectly on the main floor of business centre Collins Street 101. You could call it the 'ritzy' centre of town with Prada, Armani, Cartier and the like all positioned next door. For details on the exhibition and artists involved, please visit the link to the gallery. Or ask me! This was their first time working with glass only and Australian artists. They normally exhibit Japanese art but felt these 4 Australian based glass artists have a quality and excellence that exemplifies the ideals of fine art that they wish to introduce and support in their gallery. Quite an honour and what a beautiful show. I'm so glad we got to be there to see it. Sorry I don't have titles for you but here are some photos of the show and Brian's work.

Tasmania!! After a couple days in Melbourne, we were lucky enough to head down to Tasmania - a dream of mine since moving to Australia 6 years ago! Hard to believe it's been that long. It was beautiful weather for us and spectacular. We spent a couple of days visiting  Hobart and the famous Salamanca Markets, heard beautiful music on the streets and discovered some delicious butternut soup I'll be trying to reinvent. Hailey LOVED it. We spent a beautiful day hiking at Mt Field National Park where some of the oldest and tallest trees on earth are. Lush tree ferns, waterfalls and moss everywhere- it was just beautiful. Then we drove to the east coast and spent our last day at Freycinet National Park. Fairy penguins nest right where our bungalow was so we got to hear their beautiful songs from sundown to sunup. So special. This is the beach just across from where we stayed. Wow!!

Love this one with Hailey snoozing in the background. She got lots of rides in the pack with daddy and loved it.

My stud with our little hoodlum.

You can catch a glimpse of wineglass bay just to the right of us.

Back on the  plane again! Hailey loved the airport and made so many people's day everywhere we went. She's a magical little creature full of smiles and light. What a great week together!

wow. What beautiful pictures. I love the pic of Hailey and Daddy looking at the sculpture, like she is totally into his work! And the one on the cliff with her arms spread is awesome! I guess you didn't see any tasmanian devils?:)
