This month was one of discovery for all of us- Hailey started solid food and it's been slow to start, but she's starting to really go for this food thing! It seems to help a ton if she's got something in her hands to distract her from plunging right into the bowl and smearing it high and low.
Ready for the plunge.
As a mother's day gift we took a quick 2 day trip to the Blue Mountains to hear a fantastic cellist play at a small venue. She was AMAZING. Zoe Keating is her name- I highly recommend looking her up. She plays alone but uses a looping device to create layers of music with the cello so it sounds like a whole group playing. Really beautiful music. We had a few great walks and a beautiful hike along echo point. Hailey had a blast riding on daddy's back.
Our little Hailey monster
A flock of black cockatoos have been hanging out around Frog Hollow- amazing birds with the most beautiful call- sound a little bit like dolphins or an ocean bird.
Should-be poster girl for the grocery store. Hailey had her first ride in the grocery cart seat this week and thought it was so much fun with her legs dangling. Wow, makes things so much easier for me too!
We get a lot of frosty mornings at Frog Hollow these days, but the sun usually burns through by lunchtime with blue skies all around. We have just under a month left to be here and will hate to go! It's just so beautiful and peaceful here and Hailey loves the animals. We're really going to miss the horses and chickens and wide-open spaces. It's definitely not baby-proofed though so probably a good thing Hailey hasn't started crawling yet. She is so funny and full of smiles and giggles and good times. We just love her endlessly.
